How Much He Loves

Baby Jesus editIn a stable in Bethlehem
Within a manger lay
A King whose blood
Would have the power
To wash our sins away.
He created the angels
That sang of His birth
And the tree that became His cross.
God Almighty, in the flesh, on earth!
How much He loved, how great our worth!

Majesty cloaked in humanity,
Shekinah sheathed in skin.
Sovereign God reigning on high,
Baby Savior, infant King.
All creation at His beck and call,
Born in a stable stall.
God Almighty, in the flesh, on earth!
How much He loved, how great our worth!

Glory behind and glory ahead,
His Life freely given in our stead.
Bridge of love, sacrifice,
High priest in lowly place.
Darkness defeated, redemption won
Through eternal saving grace.
God Almighty, in the flesh, on earth!
Oh, how much He loves,
How great our worth!
